You are responsible for ensuring high-quality ongoing portfolio management of the commercial real estate loan book.

A Commercial Real Estate Debt Professional with a solid track record

Introduction
Over the recent decade the commercial real estate market has gone through an unprecedented change. After having experienced a severe downturn the market has regained investor interest on the back of a low interest rate environment and economic recovery. For institutional investors such as insurance companies this development offers new investment opportunities that fit their risk-return, investment and liability profile. In 2014 NN Investment Partners BV has stepped into this development by setting up a commercial real estate debt team. Over the past years the team has been very successful in building up a high-quality loan portfolio and is now looking for a self-starting professional to help grow the team further.

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality ongoing portfolio management of the commercial real estate loan book
  • Deliver and process high quality credit analyses and annual reviews
  • Update, maintain and optimize data regarding the tenancy, asset and loan databases and client reporting
  • Liaise internally with Risk, Legal, Operations, Compliance and Audit departments and externally with Clients, Investors and other Real Estate Lenders during transaction closings

Your experience, competencies and skills

  • Master’s Degree with an emphasis in financial, legal or quantitative disciplines, preferably enhanced with real estate related education
  • (Willingness to obtain) CFA, CAIA or FRM professional designation is a plus
  • Existing network in the real estate industry preferred
  • Min. 4 years of front office experience in the commercial real estate debt market
  • Good knowledge of LMA-based real estate loan documentation
  • The capacity to construct a high quality portfolio in line with clients’ mandates
  • Good knowledge of financial instruments, legal and accounting
  • Keen interest in Solvency II developments
  • Creative mind with strong analytical skills and the ability to express and communicate views
  • Loyal, dedicated and result-oriented with a hands-on approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to read and/or write Dutch is a plus

Your department and challenge
The Commercial Real Estate Debt team is part of the Specialized Fixed Income department of NN Investment Partners, which manages a broad range of investment strategies for in-house and third party insurance companies and pension funds. The team focuses on high-quality European investment grade transactions. Key is that the loans fit the clients’ balance sheets from a Solvency II, risk-return and accounting perspective.
